The Social Anxiety Clinic is located at Sippy Downs on Queenslands, Sunshine Coast, and is run by Craig Jamison. Craig is a professional Clinical Hypnotherapist and Master Practitioner of NLP with over a thousand hours of professional training and hundreds of hours of client interaction.
Having suffered more from what he terms mild Anxiety in the form of sweating and blushing when talking to people, torment of never feeling as though he fit in with his friends and social groups and constant negative self talk when at social events ever since he was 18 years old. Craig became aware of the similarities between his symptoms and that of Social Phobia, the main difference being the feelings he experienced were not of a phobic level. Never the less, Craig became totally sick and tired of these feelings playing a role in his decision making, sometimes they were so 'in his face' they completely dominated what he did or more accurately what he didn't do.
This lack of control and enjoyment of life sparked Craig to search for anything that would make a difference in his life. From Psychology to Meditation and Spiritual Counseling, to Reiki and NLP, and then onto Hypnosis and Philosophy. What Craig discovered as a result of his consistent studying and continual practitioner consultations, was that no one therapy style provided the relief he seeked. It was only through continual and consistent application of several techniques and the implementation of different thinking styles that he found the solution he was after - freedom of expression.
Craig's passion now is in guiding people to re-discover the freedom of spirit and individuality that is within us all, helping them change negative thought and feeling patterns that have been controlling them. Unique to other approaches, Craig does not bother with lengthy analysis of past events. Having been down that road himself, he found it just wasn't necessary and only lead to re-living unpleasant past memories, that were still charged with negative emotions. There are better ways, providing faster more permanent solutions.
